1. Eligibility Criteria
- Purpose: The primary purpose of the visa must be medical treatment. The treatment must be specialized and not readily available in Bangladesh.
- Recognized Hospitals: The treatment must be at a recognized Indian hospital. Make sure the hospital provides an official letter confirming the need for treatment.
2. Required Documents
You will need the following documents to apply for an Indian Medical Visa:
- Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of your arrival in India.
- Passport-sized Photographs: Generally, 2 recent passport-sized photos are required (the size and background color may be specified).
- Medical Report from Bangladesh: A medical certificate from a hospital in Bangladesh, explaining the need for medical treatment in India. It should describe the condition and why treatment in India is required.
- Invitation Letter from the Indian Hospital: A letter from a recognized Indian hospital that confirms the need for treatment, the expected duration of treatment, and estimated costs. The letter should also include the hospital's contact information.
